Representative and Consultant for Social Security Disability Throughout The Inland Empire, Southern California, and Abroad

Serving you through all stages of the administrative adjudication process

Applications
We'll help you complete forms and initiate contact with the Social Security Administration, then contact your medical providers to request the necessary medical evidence to support your case.
We skillfully review your file and the evidence to spot and analyze issues that might be critical to your claim. If the Agency has any inquiries about your application, we promptly respond.

Appeals
If your claim is denied, we'll review the adverse determination,
calendar the deadlines and,
develop a strategy for appeal. We will
complete and timely file the requisite forms and request additional evidence from your treating sources.
At some point you may be asked by the agency to attend a Consultative Medical Examination, and we'll help you prepare for that.

Administrative Hearings
We understand how frustrating it can be to be denied and that you might be nervous about the hearing before an Administrative Law Judge (ALJ).
But rest assured that we'll develop the file, prepare you for the hearing and be right there with you. We'll ask the right questions so that the ALJ understands your disabling condition(s), examine their witnesses, and make objections and arguments when necessary.

About Marvin Powell, Jr.

Marvin Powell, Jr. is a non-attorney claimant representative who has been providing personalized and zealous representation for disabled workers since 2008. He has represented claimants at over a thousand hearings before federal Administrative Law Judges and has earned over approximately $10 million in retroactive benefits for his clients. "I think beyond benefits. I know how complex and overwhelming the adjudication process can be. This is why my goal is not only to win, but to help you understand the process and the issues affecting your case."
Marvin graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in History/Law & Society from the University of California, Riverside. After years of working in a local history museum, he turned to the law, helping disabled workers in their claims for benefits. His work in this area began at a top national firm and he has since worked for other industry leaders as well. He holds a Juris Doctorate degree from Trinity Law School.
In addition to his work as a disability advocate, he has volunteered for several civic causes such as generating support for ALS research, fighting poverty with the Community Action Partnership of Riverside County, and ensuring equal access to justice while serving on the board of directors at Inland Counties Legal Services. In all of these endeavors he has aspired to improve the quality of life for others by facilitating access to health, wealth and justice.
